Frequently asked questions

  • Why should we choose you for our wedding?

    1) We have over fifteen years experience and have captured well over 1,000 weddings. This amount of experience is invaluable in helping us to deal with the multitude of scenarios that often crop up during a wedding - and which less experienced cameramen might struggle with?

    2) We love what we do - and treat every wedding with the same level of professionalism to ensure we do the best job possible for you.

    3) We are extremely reasonably priced, considering our experience and the quality of work we produce.

    4) We do this full-time. We believe this is really important because it means we are totally focussed on what we do.

    5) Unlike the vast majority of other wedding video companies, we make a point of filming weddings discreetly. We film with our video cameras mounted on small light-weight tripods, so we can get great, steady close-up shots from distance. This enables us to blend into the background, so you and your guests can enjoy your wedding day - and the end result is a beautiful, natural wedding video - your wedding day, as it happened.

  • What happens on our wedding day if the cameraman is ill?

We have a small team of trusted cameramen who can be called upon in the worst case scenario. However, we are pleased to say that in more than 15 years capturing weddings we have never had a situation where illness has prevented us from carrying out our services.

  • Do I have to pay a deposit?

A £150 deposit is required for Wedding Videography and/or Wedding Photography bookings. Where both services are booked a £250 deposit is required. Deposits can be paid by bank transfer or by credit card.

  • When do I make my final payment for your services?

Around four weeks before your wedding day we will send you our final confirmation of the arrangements email - and you can make your balance payment then. We accept balance payments by bank transfer and by credit card.

  • How long will my wedding video last?

To keep things uncomplicated, we provide one comprehensive wedding vidography package.

Discreetly filmed in stunning 4K with two professional video cameras, your full length wedding video will last up to one hour, include your wedding ceremony and speeches (with audio) and you can choose the music we add.

  • Do you provide uncut footage?

We produce only completely produced wedding videos and do not release uncut footage. When filming a wedding, the uncut footage captured will typically include: focussing adjustments, iris setting adjustments, camera wobbles, rushing between filming positions with the camera running to maintain the audio recording, unflattering shots, people walking across the shot etc etc. All of this unusable footage is removed when editing and not released.

  • How do I transfer my wedding film to USB?

First of all, make sure the capacity of your USB is bigger than the file size of your downloaded wedding video file. Secondly, your USB may be ‘partitioned’. This means that the whole of the space on your USB may be sub-divided into smaller spaces (i.e. a 16GB USB may be divided into four 4GB partitions). In this scenario, if your wedding video is, for instance, 9GB you will not be able to transfer onto your USB, unless you initially format your USB. To do this on a Mac, go to Disk Utilities, select your USB and click Erase. This process will remove the partitions. Before erasing make sure you check to see if any data on your USB needs to be backed-up.
